The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized the Amrit Kalash Yatra in Kolkata, starting from College Square. State BJP President Sukanta Majumdar and Dilip Ghosh are prominent figures in the procession. The program, named 'Amar Mati Amar Desh,' is set to culminate at Dharmatala. The BJP collected soil from various blocks to be transported to Delhi, and leaders and activists from different blocks are leaving for the capital. The soil will be used to create the "Amrit Udyan" at Delhi's National War Memorial.
Dilip Ghosh, Rahul Sinha, and current state BJP president Sukanta Majumder, along with state BJP leaders including Asansol South MLA Agnimitra Pal, led the procession.
The participants in the procession will eventually head to Delhi, where they will deliver the Kalash, containing soil collected from different parts of West Bengal, to the BJP War Memorial. The soil will be deposited on October 31 in memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and the "Amrit Udyan" will be established in Delhi.
